Welcome to the world of Kovtun Art — a space where every piece is born from the depths of the soul and the pursuit of beauty.
My childhood and my first steps in art were centered around my education: I graduated from an art lyceum and then enrolled in an art college. I studied there for two years but did not graduate, as destiny led me to Israel. There, I completed my studies at Tel-Hai College, specializing in Animation and 3D Graphics. However, it was during this process that I realized digital software felt foreign to my soul; I discovered that my true happiness lies in paints, brushes, and the physical touch of the canvas. During more than 16 years in Israel, I didn't paint a single picture—I kept putting it off, waiting for the "right moment" to begin, but that moment never seemed to arrive.
The decisive shift happened when I left everything behind and moved back to Russia. With the birth of my son, Sasha, and our move to the countryside, a new chapter of my life began. It was there that the facets of my soul, long hidden behind masks of doubt and lost in the race for material things, finally began to unfold. Since 2021, my spiritual and artistic side has undergone a rapid revival, and by 2022, I had fully immersed myself in an intensive creative process.
During this time, I have painted dozens of works, more than 90% of which found their owners even before they were finished—so vividly and powerfully did they resonate with people. Gradually, my path led me to the creation of altar and shamanic works. These are unique energetic portals that do more than just decorate a space; they interact with the individual, their energy field, and their ancestral system. These pieces have traveled all over the world, particularly to shamans, for whom they serve as living channels of power.
My works are bridges - between the human and the cosmos, between spirit and matter, between light and shadow.
